Background

There was a point where Setel’s plan to scale up more motorist use cases, and it became a challenge for the product and engineering to make sure multiple feature development can be done concurrently with lower risk.

The concept of Miniapp is just to have webview embedded within the mobile app, but with additional special functionalities that only allowed to have when open within Setel app.

The objective

By creating this framework, we are:

1. Creating more options for resources allocation instead of just relying on mobile development
2. Providing UI experience that can mimic mobile native app as close as possible

Usage

Most of the features in Setel is built with the mini app framework, as it allows us to build it quicker, and less dependancy on app store release timeline.
