In early 2023 Setel decided to go on an overhaul revamp of main page. I had a chance to involve e2e from planning, getting buy in, design and development.

Background

When Setel first started out in 2018, it was with the intent to disrupt fuel payments and solve customer pain points at petrol stations. Fast forward to 2024, Setel has grew its ambitions in providing more motorists offerings, envisioning the goal of becoming superapp for motorists.

The challenge

The previous UI which originated since 2018 used up 50% of the screen estate for displaying map. Back then, there was only fuelling feature, hence it make sense to spend the estate on displaying the map, providing more security for users to know if they are at the correct station.

As we gew to provide more than just fuelling, we identified there was a lack of visibility in showcasing Setel’s offerings to our customers. More than 90% of our users did not aware that we have more than just fuelling features.
